I got completely derailed yesterday. I had all my food planned, with no intention of leaving my house, except to walk the dogs.
Then my brother called in tears. A tree fell on his house, and he’s temporarily homeless. I felt so bad for him. I took him to lunch. He wanted Chinese. Then, I thought “that’s okay, I’ll just have a meatless salad for dinner, and skip the popcorn I had planned for family night”.
Then my delivery boss called me in a flap. Her guy didn’t come in. Can I work 4-7:30? It’s 3:40 right now. Okay, sure. I wrapped up the work I had put off to help my brother and ran out the door. Of course, I didn’t have time to pack a dinner, so I hit Subway… and that’s where it all went to hell. I got a six inch turkey sub, with the bread ripped out (like they show on BL) with no cheese, and only a swipe of mustard. But I also got two cookies and a diet pop. Ugh. Then I went home and ate the popcorn anyways, cuz I was kinda feelin “why not”.
This morning I decided on another day of “who cares”, and in fact I may take Saturday, too. But then I’m going to challenge myself to another ten days of “game on”. I did great on the last one, right?
I did jump on the scale this morning, but with all the sodium yesterday, I don’t think 158.4 was really a true number. On monday I was 154.6 or 154.8. I doubt I gained four pounds, considering I was on plan Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. So I’ll indulge for a day or two, and then I’m back in the saddle on Sunday as Day 1.
I’m still going to take pics though. I had an amazing breakfast sandwich that I had to take a pic of, which I’ll post later. 🙂
