The scale gods hate me.
I actually stepped on the scale this morning expecting a loss (I haven’t expected in weeks). Up. 157.0lbs. WTF??
Start doing inventory and realize that I forgot how much running makes me GAIN in the first bit. As my muscles tear and grow, ache and pain, it actually causes a weight gain, which will be lost in the weeks to come, as long as I stick with it. I will become leaner, if not lighter.
I’ll take my measurements. That will show me my progress when the scale doesn’t.
Still, it was shocking and disappointing to step on that scale this morning and see a higher number, after having a great week of choices. Sigh. Why do we put so much weight in a number (pun intended)?
