Shhhh… You Don't Know Me

Soccer Update

As I suspected would happen, noone showed.  Woot!

I actually burned 459 calories running and kicking the ball.  You know, it’s actually a whole lot more fun running after a ball, intead of just running with no purpose.  Time goes way faster.

I’ve definately figured out that my quad will not take sudden stops, or full on kicks from either leg.  The one cannot kick, with the other it cannot stabalize my body.

I came home and iced it again, using A5-35, too.  I’m babying it, because I don’t want to screw myself totally.  I think my coach is going to be upset, since I’m the one that keeps everyone motivated.  I’ll still come to practices though, and participate where I can.  I’ll do other things while they are doing their stuff, so they can see that I’m not pansying out.  I think it’s important to teach that even if you are injured, you can work out the REST of your body, as long as you are being careful and smart about it.  Too many times in life we hurt a little something and end up flopped on the couch feeling sorry for ourselves and bemoaning our luck.

Yum… I’m eating breakfast and it is so GOOD!  A quarter cup porridge cooked in a half cup water with some vanilla.  Add in 1/2 a peach (109 grams) and throw into a bowl.  Top with 15 grams of walnuts and a dollop (20 grams) of plain yogurt.  Holy Crack!!  And it’s only 244 calories and I am comfortable.  And fiberlicious! LOL

Okay, I best get to work…  Have a great day!

  1. Mmmmm, on the breakfast.

It is important to learn to listen to our bodies. I learned to do other things when nursing a pull or whatever, too. Just keep moving. 🙂
